JDM puddle lights on my wj?
I was thinking, and I want to do JDM style puddle lights on my WJ in pure white. I want to wire them up with a relay and a trigger wire, and have them triggered by the door lights coming on. This way, when I unlock my WJ it'll have the puddlelights on, and when I get in/out it'll have puddlelights. What do you guys think? I'm not going to do any cheesey colors, just pure white. I'm going to mount them just behind the pinch weld, and run the wires up into the engine bay/firewall area.
I think it'll be easy, but I'm a bit confused.
-How do I need to wire the LED's so they all get the correct voltage/power
-Where do I buy the relay with a trigger wire? (I will wire it up so the relay has an a fuse built into it just after the power wire's connection to the battery). I installed on in my girlfriends car, but it came with the angel eyes kit
-What size fuse should I use?
-How should I attach the puddlelights ... should I scuff up the paint a bit and just use clear silicone? Industrial velcro? Confused!
-What puddle lights should I buy, does anyone have a good reference?
I'm thinking of buying these for $100 (with shipping)
Yay nay? be harsh!
I do have access to a multimeter, so I guess i can apply my brain a bit and figure it out. Also have a sweet soldering iron I wanna try out! lol
