Re: jeep halos

im sorry some guys have problems but I can say I have the 10 volt rings installed with the regulator in a project box set at about 8,5 volts.

i leave them on for hours and have never had ONE PROBLEM.

I would suggest putting 12v regulaotrs on the 14v rings.........the REASON is that the WK EAT ANY BULBS.......look at poists. ask the crowd, how many people have ahd EDISON bulbs burn out in 3 year or less WKs. its the fluctuation that is the issue. and the 14.v or higher spikes cause the problems.

all of this is just my opinion I am not an electrical engineer...... just a user of these products from various makers.

ask the denver guys........ i have been at car shows for 8-10 hours with the halos on. im not talking once every show or cruise night I light up my halos and leave them on.

last thought........Flashtech DOES offer some solutions and stands behind each ring 100%.........other places.........give 90 days and SEE YA .......

vleds is one that comes to mind.......90 days and done. flashtech ........lifetime.

Re: jeep halos

sorry to hear about everyone problems, i have the falshtech leds in my fogs and i love them, they work fine for me i have it hooked up to the regulator and i havent had any of the leds burn out yet. i bought them a few months ago. i did have a pair previous to the flashtech ones that i bought off someone on here and those were crap, i dont think they were flashtech because the quality of the two rings were completely different the color of the flastech ones were much brighter and they were a purer white, also the knockoff brand i had first had like five leds burn out the day i turned them on... imagine that doin all the work sawing open your fogs take a day to let the silicone dry take the time to wire and hook them up and boom 5 in a row are out. i choose to buy the falstech ones which i agree are expensive but they come with the voltage regulator and fuse and insturctions on how to wire them. i havent regretted my decision yet.
i do feel your pain about the broken lights though it was a ton of work to modify just the fog lights i cant imagine the work you put in

also i use mine as dtrl so they are literally on whenever im in my car day and night so theyve been put through a lot

Re: jeep halos

basically Im just done with halos..they were my favorite mod! They get more attention than my forged 22s to be honest, but I just cant even FATHOM the idea of taking them off after I painted them, reinstalling warrantied ones and fearing it will happen again.......

Im going to just go with the premanufactured black lights on ebay

so if anyone wants to buy my projector lights to use my quad morimoto mini quads for there own project, let me know!!!

Re: jeep halos

Take a picture of the headlights and email them to me at flashproducts@gmail.com

trust me the ebay headlights will give you even more problems!

you might be able to mail the entire headlight to me and if they were installed right i will eat the labor on this one job and have my guy repair it for you.

LEt me know

Re: jeep halos

I was talking about the normal ebay lights.........they make them that are exact replicas of the stock ones and only painted black inside.....not the fake projector/ugly alien led ones!

like these:

Re: jeep halos

I will email you a picture though to get your opinion on whether the led's were defective or if you believe its a voltage issue.......
