Laredo/overland mirror cap

Looking to paint/buy/trade my chrome mirror cap for body style color (crystal granite). Asked around at dealers here and they are hesitant to paint it. Thanks!

Re: Laredo/overland mirror cap

Not that hard to have them painted,

My buddy at the paint shop told my to prep the chrome by scuffing with 320 grit paper.

That saved him some sanding then He went over it again with some more 320 grit to his liking.

The next step after cleaning and tacking, was a couple coats of adhesion promotor, the a couple coats or primer.

The color and clear coat went on after that.

Re: Laredo/overland mirror cap

I dont think you can buy just the caps. I think you have to buy the whole mirror.

Also, I am considering plastic dip and if it comes out crap I will go chrome.

I would love to trade with someone though if they are willing.

Or even buy a pair of Max Steel caps.
