How did you apply them to assure they were straight and level?

Re: Let's See Those HEMI Badges !

My body shop used painters tape to give them the top line that mirrors the 4x4 badge on the other side.

May I be rude and ask approx. what they charged you to put them on? I only ask because I don't trust myself to get them straight, or to "bend" them to fit the slight curve. In short, I don't know what I'm doing, and I don't want to "experiment", and wind up with a botched, or half assed looking job from the "learning curve".

The first one I put on the back, I did wrong. I tried to align it with the curved line and sure enough it looked crooked. (didn't even take pics lol)

The second one. I used another that I had to do a test fit. When I got it where I liked it, I put a piece of painters tape under it then put the one I was going to use in place.

If you do it yourself, I would test fit it so that you can step back and look at it so that you are happy with the placement.

Twenty bucks and 2 minuets time, but I'll use Albert's method in the future!

Re: Let's See Those HEMI Badges !

Finally got around to finishing and installing the new hemi grille badge.

I hope it holds up. The screws are super glued to the badge. Didn't tighten it too hard. I might go buy some locking nuts so that it doesn't loosen up over time.

I must admit, I kinda like that there are no indications on mine of what's under the hood...gives me the element of surprise!
