Re: Lets talk about Cheap but good HIDs

If you want a cheap costing kit, go with Tony and the xentec kit, they are cheap, he gives a god warranty from what I heard and is a great guy to deal with.

atleast support the vendors, thats why theyre here right.

Re: Lets talk about Cheap but good HIDs

I've been looking at these in the slim kit. Doesn't seem bad at all.

Re: Lets talk about Cheap but good HIDs

Well after looking over the car. I have found out that I can't put HIDs in it since the headlights are the type that you have to replace the whole housing, not just the bulb. Unless someone has a way to overcome that, this is going to be one Camaro that won't have HIDs

^^^

Thanks. I'll look into that when I get more money. So far, I have a tire and a paint job in front of it right now.

For headlights I've only ever used OEM components. For my reverse lights, I'm using the "premium" kit from V-LEDs, which I've been very happy with. I used a coupon that made them $120 shipped.

Re: Lets talk about Cheap but good HIDs

how does a lifetime warranty actually work? I've always wondered how someone can guarantee their product for a lifetime. Does that also mean that if the product fails they take care of any shipping fees involved or is the customer expected to do so?

This isn't directed towards you svenskajeepguy, I just find it funny that all these people are offering gimmicky "lifetime warranties"

Steve

Re: Lets talk about Cheap but good HIDs

JDub...you and I both know that extreme "glare" is from the camera! I was just trying to show that my kit emits plenty of light.....

any HID kit in an open headlight will give glare.....the only way to get a perfect cut-off line is with a projector

the aftermarket projector headlamps for our Jeeps are a tad too tacky for my liking

and retrofitting a set of OEM projector lamps is way too pricey IMO too

so, Im good with my $40 bright but semi-glare lighting vs spending $1,000+ retrofit for perfect cut-off!

this HID debate goes on and on and on on every forum.......I still keep asking myself why I still get involved LOL
