I'm still debating on the "paint the stock caliper" vs "install the caliper cover" mod, I'd do the caliper cover if they were not so large, so I guess I have to paint the stock caliper.
Well I did video shoot with MPG yesterday for their SEMA video that will be playing at SEMA. The Jeep won't physically be at SEMA 2011, but I already have 3 of my sponsors that will be displaying photos and videos of it at SEMA. So it gonna be nice to have it out in the crowd at the show.
Anywho I snapped 3 more pics yesterday to post up again, so enjoy...
I have no issues with the the view...I guess i've been drving it for so long that the decals don't bother me at all...kind of like drving a tank like when i was in the army, lol
Well it doesn't look like it has a widebody. Looks like it's shaved and filled. Your fenders are the same as anyone else's... No need to get your panties in a knot when someone asks you something about your Jeep.....
Yepp...everything is shaved including the doors and moldings. I haven't done the widebody conversion yet. As far as panties in a bunch and wear man thongs, lol...i see you are new to the forum so i will cut u a brake this time for not knowing . The conversion is the second to the last mod that will be done.
Interesting idea. Certainly a lot cheaper than going for a 2 - 3k big brake upgrade, and it seems like it cleans up the "look" quite a bit. Just wondering if there's a "corny" factor when you see them "in person"??
They look pretty good to me,I think some folks think they look small because of the bigger rims and the low profile tires. Your rims will be cleaner because of the brake dust not falling on them.
Personally I do not like caliper covers. I like form and function, and what I see the only function the covers have is the reduction (however slight) in brake dust on wheels.
That said. I like the color and I think it goes with the theme. But a quick question though. Wouldn't you have achieved the same look or style by painting the stock calipers?
Well now after taking my vehicle in for various service issues one of which is brake squeal the tech tells me the issue is being caused by the mopar caliper covers I had them to install a while back. He says the covers don't allow enough heat to escape. What do you guys think?
