Re: MGP Caliper Covers Installed...

Something different and new...a lot of Jeepers don't know much about me except for Scott and a small handful of members, but I have been the first to try a lot of things on the WK platform and I am always trying to find a way to make it look unique...Don't knock it till you try it, so I visualized it and tried it. I can honestly say that I very happy to see my dream come to reality. Looks 180 from the old SJ days...

Looks nice, but not to sure if they will hold up as good as DCSpecial headlights.

Don't want and still don't want the cf tailgate piece because I wanted the red as an accent to the rest of the red on the Jeep. The roof and tail gate cf wrap matches perfectly, but if you though in the BO cf then it throws the whole look off especially if you up close to it and see that one is a wrap and the other is real cf. At least with the red in between it compliments everything around it.

Re: MGP Caliper Covers Installed...

turned out better than i expected. I agree that they would look better with bigger rotors.

Re: MGP Caliper Covers Installed...

i agree that they look better than expected but nice new shinny paint on a dog turd also looks pretty good. lol just playing. they look okay as a temporary thing but i agree with the others about a big break kit, that's the first thing i think every time i see your jeep, 24's are just too big for little rotors. if you want to do something different go with baer or something instead of brembo...

Re: MGP Caliper Covers Installed...

All these haters!!! I don't love them, but they do look better than the stock calipers. Personally I would up grade to bigger brakes eventually. With those big wheels the brakes look tiny! I want bigger brakes but I won't sacrifice my wheel size to get them, because my WK is an off road one!

Sick WK by the way! I would love to see it in person some time!

Re: MGP Caliper Covers Installed...

Have to agree with some of the others.

While the covers may look pretty good, the purpose of bigger calipers is to mate with bigger rotors.

The purpose of bigger wheels is to allow for fittment of bigger brakes/rotors

The proportions of your wheels and calipers is out of proportion to your rotor.

This is what make it goofy looking, and kind of poser. (trying to be gentle here)
