Gotcha, you wanted the B on the bottom facing forward so the rears match the front. Im anal like that too, and looks better having them all the same way after looking at it.

Re: New Brembo Caliper Color

With the slotted rotors do you happen to notice if they wear the pads down quicker, how thay are designed to do from my research? For some reason my pads look almost brand new and I had this car a year now, I was expecting to see them at least 1/2 worn. The stock rotors are showing grooves in them now, so I want to invest in a good set of rotors but reading about what slotted are for makes me turn away from them. I hear they are basically for race cars to help scrape the glazing off from the high heat. I was watching F1 racing recently and it was at night time and the rotors would glow red on the cars around the turns, was kinda cool to see.

timmy i have slotted on my XJ. PowerSlot rotors to be exact. with Hawk HPS pads, second set. I have these on for 60K miles. the pads both sets have lasted about 30K. I just pulled them to check, they are about 1/4 left so i ordered a new set of pads.

point is slots dont wear pads any faster. in fact, could be less as they cool and let the hot gases escape.

Re: New Brembo Caliper Color

When I did my lowering springs and then another time I swapped out a blown strut the calipers fell from the wire coat hangers I used to prop them up and they scratched from hitting the driveway, good thing they give you so much paint in the dupli-color brush on kit I was able to just touch them up perfectly. I think if someones really careful and maybe wrap the calipers in a towel or put a bunch of painters tape over them they should be fine. In the pic his bolts are painted also, not sure what those are for though and if they would ever need to be removed which would mess up the paint in those areas.
