Your comments are so random.

Have you not seen the 3k exhaust or 5k wheels or even the 6k supercharger mods on this forum?
The mod from RIHIDS is 1k plus $350 for the new assemblies.

SRT headlights are 1k a piece and 350 for the custom harness.
Sounds like a deal.

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

In case anyone is wondering how the leds work inside the headlights, I have a 2nd pair that I've cracked open and messed around with some.
I was having trouble getting my phone to focus on clear or the small things, so some pics are blurry.

Here's the headlight blinker female plug and what each connector is:

-
Here's the inside wires:

-
Here's the LED blinker board:

-
Here's the led strip lights:
There are 2 leds on one board for the outer-top ends of the strips (where the top+bottom meets)
and there is 1 led on 2 other boards for the inner bot/top of the other ends.

-
It uses a light diffusing tube to fairly evenly distribute the light. I only lit one side.
Off->On

Here's the rest of the pics in an album, The rest are pretty much just me pluggin them into a 12v battery.

if you have any questions about them just let me know.

New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

So basically the LED bar replaces the inner parking light bulbs near the grille. All else functions as stock?

MoparWiring 3-way repair kit #68148102AA, this kit contains 2 connectors withcables.
Thesocket which was a pain the arse to find and I still have not found because asI stated it is no longer a part that can be bought separately from theheadlight assembly (according to the many dealers I spoke with) is this one:

OEM! 11-13 Dodge Durango / JeepGrand Cherokee Headlight Turn Signal Parking Light BULB & SOCKET LAMP -Factory Xenon

SoI found one that works just as well but it is a Ford socket,LOL. On ebay here:

Ford Turn Signal Parking LightSocket Front Head Lamp 2U5Z 13411 SA w Amber | eBay

Youcan also buy the 3-way wire along with the socket here:

New Ford Light Socket Signal LampHeadlight Parking w Wiring Pigtail Bulb | eBay

Yourfinal piece to make the harness is this item:

3156 3157 Male Adapter WiringHarness for Headlight Tail Lamp Signal Retrofit | eBay

Soafter you make your purchases all you have to do is splice a male to femaleharness and make the middle wire go directly to your fuse box as perKeitherkert instruction on a post here in this thread. Simple once you have allthe parts. No need to cut into your stock wires and you will have the LEDs comeon with the ignition and not the park lights.

Onone last note I BENCH TESTED THIS and I have no yet installed the lights andfully tested blinker action or full functionality, buy and make at your ownrisk!

Enjoy your lights and have fun!
Just checked the links/Ebay you posted - total seems to be ~$90.

Any chance you have a pic of the final harness, if it's not yet installed?

1000 bucks for both lights as a previous person quoted is a lot for a headlight mod...yes

Not the finished product but this is what the harness will look like. Again I am making this so I DO NOT HAVE TO CUT the stock wiring to make the center pin/wire route to a dedicated 12v source. I will also insulate the sections of this harness to water proof it (just incase you were wondering)

Nice! Thank you for the visual!

My lights arrive next week - thinking about it and I may try to rig this up, so it's only one install. Not overly handy with electric stuff, but we'll see!

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

They came in today and I am really impressed by the feel and build. Tossing some silicone around the edges as Skunkd mentioned previously. Can't wait to get them up and running.

Asking before I go to mount them up this week-end though: Any particular spot this should be mounted on? First aftermarket headlight install. Thanks

You'll see the radiator support mount on the inner side (close to where the grills would begin) of each headlight has plenty of space to mount them nice and protected from the elements. It's nice and hollowed out and metal so they will stick well there.
