Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

Harness completed, sealed and working like a charm. Had to make some adjustments for it to route correctly but no problem. I think I figured a way to have the DRL work with these lights along with the 12v supply, still testing. Thanks all.

If there was a way to have the leds as drl and either dim or turn off for blinkers would be the cats 5 meow.

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

does anyone have good video and thoughts on the turn signals in action? I am thinking about having TLF replace the led strip to a custom switchback but I can't decide if it is worth the money.

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

Installed mine today! Was a very straight forward job and easy job to knock out in like 2 hours and I've never done anything like this before. Really pumped how they came out. I'll post some more pics when I can - my Iphone 6 takes pretty terrible night photos - the pics just basically look like the lights are on - no definition of the LED strip

I need to purchase some new high beam bulbs. I had a spare set of these (Amazon.com: NOKYA Arctic White H11 55w Halogen Headlight Bulbs: Automotive) that I used for the regular lights and fogs. Thought they would fit into the high beam slot - but no dice. Guess I should have checked before, rather than as I was installing

Stock size was 65W... Anyone know if these would fit? (NOKYA NOK7411 Pro Halogen Arctic White 9005 65 Watt 7000K Light Bulb - - Amazon.com)

unless the seller mis-described it it says it's the black housing, which is what you want.

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

One more question and my bad if it repeats what's already been asked. For the bulbs, I'm getting the NOKYA Arctic White H11 55w Halogen Headlight Bulbs. I will need 2 sets, correct? One for the headlights and one set for the fogs...

Again, my bad if it repeats a previous post, I'm just starting with all this mod talk

That's correct. A back up pair isn't a bad idea either to have handy.

The high beams also need a different bulb, the 55w will not fit. Think the 65w ones I linked above will. That is the wattage of the stock high beam Bulbs, Just haven't confirmed, nor ordered yet. Been really busy. Easier to swap all the bulbs prior to swapping them all out, but it can be done at anytime with a bit of work and small hands.

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

Good morning guys,
First post here I see some of you have already heard of me and or our mods on these lamps. I am sure the 3 local guys along with a few mail orders all have stemmed from Dave's (beebo401) post.
For those of you whom may not know the difference a true bixenon projector which has been tuned vrs the cheaply produced Chinese halogen please refer to the pic.

I assure you although these lamps hold roughly a 1k price tag when broken down part by part the cost is accurate. Its been said that the oem srt lamps are over 1k ea.. typical auto manufactures charge between 1k-5k for premium lighting upgrades, products used here are oem plus quality.

Parts used within these builds retail for $760.00 before taxes and any shipping costs. When broken down this way the price tag for labor to open, modify the internals, and reseal is a short cost for a professionally built product. Over all each and every end user has been extremely satisfied with the results and performance of their modded lamps.

On another note in order to help make these lamps a true DRL plug in application Id like to start incorporating the "plug in harness." Are there any pics of the harness completed available?
Thanks guys!
