Well done! This is straight forward enough for anyone.
I believe someone previously asked this, but I didn't see an answer : will we be needing two DRL controllers?

I had another question, which is more of an opinion I suppose. If I opt for the blacked out housing will it look goofy on a black limited that isn't all blacked out? Should I go with the chrome version? I worry about the LED strip not showing up as nice on the chrome version, as I already worry about the strength of the LED during the day. Has anyone done this?

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

I can tell you based on my experience as much as I like these lights the led strip is very dim when compared to almost any oem led strip or even other 3rd party housings in other cars. I really wish it was brighter. they look great at night or when it's cloudy but in direct sunlight on a bright day there's no comparison to the others.

Thanks for this. It is decent, but not OEM brightness. I like the grille inserts as well, as this is what im trying to do while the bumper is off.

How do you think the blacked out housings would look with your exact setup (since its very close to mine)?

I think it would look good, but I'm one of those that actually likes the chrome look if you couldn't already tell. The black housing might do like you said, make the led strip stand out more on its own instead of blend in with the chrome. It would be even better if you black out the grill which im assuming that's what you'll be going for.

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

Hey guys I'm dealing with all of the same problems, going into my second month on trying to get the Luxury 2 group lights (factory led strip on limited with lux 2 pkg and standard on overland trim level) but it has not been easy. I actually found a guy who did it perfectly by buying the headlight assemblies on eBay from a part out site, and actually has them to delay and turn off when directional signal is turned on which I didn't necessarily care about I just wanted it to be exact like factory, the only problem is there is no way to get ahold of the person directly who made the YouTube video and what not. Please anyone let me know if they have come up with an OEM solution in terms of the headlamp assemblies and then maybe aftermarket harness to get it to work I just DO NOT want to buy imitation aftermarket entire housing, the colors change and aren't bright and do not look like the OEM setup please help!!!!

@JeepCertified. This thread is not for this discussion

I suggest you go to 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight for the thread that talks about this.

What I can tell you is it is not easy, and only a few forum members have made a harness that works, and most of the time the effort put into the construction of the harness is not work duplicating. This is why if you really want these, as I do and many others, you will need to build your own harness. The thread I mention has some tips and parts, but a full set is still to be discovered.

If you have a better solution be sure to let us know!

Has anyone tried to put the Compass lights in their 14-15 WK2? I don't think it would be too hard and they look much better to me

If I recall correctly, the compass Headlights had the same form factor as the 2011-13 wk2. The 2014+ are like 2 inches shorter. That probably won't fit

Are these headlights still available? I can't seem to find them anywhere. The links on this thread have been sold out or out of stock. I was really hoping to get these. They look a lot better than the other setups imo.

Thanks for the find and the link. The seller is autoanything but when I went to their site, the headlights are nowhere to be found. I'm skeptical on purchasing through eBay with the seller's feedback they've gotten. Has anyone purchased from this seller?
