Much brighter and whiter than the standard bulbs that came stock with car. Nothing compare to HID's. HID's are different level beams, and does have a bright smooth spread. Honestly, I'm happy with what I have with the halogen projectors. I just upgraded the halogen bulb with sylvania silver star ZXE.

well, that's probably dependent on bulbs. I'm talking about the actual beam.

Such as the cutoff pattern. Smooth, even spread?

I want to know if putting HIDs in these are an issue with glare. The OEM projectors work pretty well with a kit.

If you could take a wall beam picture about 30' back, that would be awesome.

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

Good post by Fzabala and thanks for the direct links CLStech! I originally was looking into doing the headlight conversion kit for my 15'Limited. However, after I have read all the horror stories about it, I had opted not to peruse it.

The lights posted here by Seller 'Revotec' on EBay seem like an interesting option. Seem bright, black housing is nice for those with blacked out builds, and they are insanely cheaper than OEM headlights. Their fine print on their return policy (or lack there of) has made me hesitant to shell out some $$$ for these though. Might wait to see if some more feedback pops up (longevity, brightness, durability, etc.)

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

Headlamps came in today, but I'm hesitant to install them right away. I guess my idea is that I don't really "expect" these to last very long. So I thought perhaps if I wait on the install for when I put in all my other modifications I'll at least have a few months of use when my jeep looks how I want it.

Is this weird?

I know it is not much beam spread compare to HID, but seems like I'm getting a more spread and visual compare to the stock halogen. I will take a pic of the beam and send it to you.

Why do you think it might not last? Well, we know it is a new released item, and we won't know how long the life of these headlights will hold up. So far the material feels identical like the stock ones. What mods are you adding to it besides HID's?

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

Update: so what I realize about these headlight, the LED's don't turn on along with my DRL automatically, unless I turn the switch manually to parking lamps or headlights. That's a bummer :-/. Oh well not a big deal. At least that will save the life of my H11 lowbeam bulbs.

I just got nervous since I couldn't really find information on them besides the information on eBay. I was just curious as to why that was the only place to find them.

Also I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on headlamp assemblies of this style on other vehicles, so I just felt like it could be hit or miss in terms of their longevity.

What mix reviews are you hearing? I know so far the company eagle eye, who makes these headlights, have to meet strict OEM standards when building it, before they go out to sell. I'm real happy with mine and so far no problems at all. It really changes the front end of my car in a subtle, yet aggressive look. You already have them, just install them. Worst case, you can swap em back. Here is a photo of my car headlights before and after.

Re: New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

Thanks. Beam looks pretty good. I know when I bought a spare Eagle headlight for my Tacoma, the fitment wasn't the best and the clear lens had a funny look to it. An old sheen is the best to describe it. Also the beam had a crappy hot spot. Then again, that was a reflector based headlight.

I bet the company listened to everyone's feedback and realized their quality needed to change for the better.
