Re: new light mod

they used E55 projectors in mine. How are these projectors any easier to install? shear size alone or a better mounting system?

Re: new light mod

easy easy easy install rob!!!

these r as close to plug and play with real projectors as your going to get!!

they are mounted by a stem that is fed through the existing bulb holes....then secured with a locking ring!!!

I will try and get pics up soon (waiting on new lock rings....I was accidentally given too big of ones.......so in this picture, they are not secured fully!)

then after the projector is secured, the shrouds are slid on over them and secured with a dab of silicone/glue of ur choice

Re: new light mod

one other note

I did have to use my dremel to open up the high beam hole to allow room for the projectors mounting stem

also had to dremel out a hole in each reflector bowl to feed the bixenon trigger wire that will be fed into my high beam 9005 stock harness!!

like I said, I will post pics soon once I get them all mounted up, secured and sealed up for mounting

Re: new light mod

see those 2 circles in the lights?

those are projectors

they will prevent glare and give a nice smooth cutoff line to prevent glare blinding oncoming traffic

that and with 4 of them total.......it will look bad ass!!!

as for their 1k kit

thats probably new lights, opened, painted, projectors installed and shipped.....this stuff AINT cheap

but like I said, you can do it yourself substantially cheaper!!

new lights-80 shipped on ebay
paint-10 bucks at auto store
quad projectors for a diy project-around 300

Re: new light mod

4 low beams lasted about 2 drives.....with all that light you are asking for trouble>>>> so be rady to add some switches.

ask me how I know

good luck. the hella Bi xenon i have a larger so took more dremele work. not too much but some. then mounting was not that easy.

one point; my INNERS have a bit higher cut off line than my outers.......you might want to get it all on one plane if you can. helps with aiming

Re: new light mod

hahahah

hey Rob, I might have to hit you up soon when it gets closer to install time to see if you can help lead me in the right direction on which switch to buy and how to wire it up!!!!

what do you mean by "you might want to get it all on one plane if you can."

how would I do that? You mean have it level...........aim the inners first, then aim the outters?

I dont see how I could raise the outters to level out with the inners that are higher since the projectors are fixed.........

once fixed, all I can adjust is up and down of the entire housing right??
