got mine in, but didn't use soap
i used a hairdryer to warm it up really good that loosened up the rubber on the back quite good, still the top left corner on the brake pedal was a pita lots of elbow grease with a super small flathead screwdriver.
the accelerator pedal was really easy, trick is slide from bottom going up with left bottom all the way in then as it curves and your top left goes in then quickly press the right bottom to click then top right pops right in. best i could describe it, once you have it in your hand and play with it you'll get the hang of it.
