nope, just requires a 3/4" socket and a deadblow hammer on the wrench a few times to get it loose because the bolts are so G-D big that they stick really well. But after that its smooth sailing if you ever need them off again. No other way to really get them painted the way I wanted without removing them. You will NOT need to bleed unless you actually disconnect the brake line (just sit the caliper on an upside down 5gallon bucket

hang what....the main mount? sure but the caliper no way ahaha its about 10-15lbs.
