Sorry I wasn't clear but yes I meant the SRT Brembo set up, and thanks for the info!

Here's the stock calipers painted

Hi ajag

I've been able to find some "decent" prices on brembo calipers, which is what most of us interested in big brake kits are concerned about. I see that you had the factory rotors and moved to the Brembo's. Aside from the calipers themselves, did you have to purchase anything else specific to those calipers? I spoke with someone from justforjeeps.com and he tried selling me everything (rotors, pads, splash shield, rattle clips, etc). Are you able to use any pads/rotors you choose? I ask because I upgraded my rotors/pads to Stoptech this past year. FYI, I have a 2012 Wk2 Laredo X with 18s so obviously I'll need bigger wheels to fit.

Appreciate any help you or other members can provide. Thanks!

Re: Painting WK2 calipers

You don't need the splash shields. Depends.on if you buy loaded calipers or just the calipers whether or not you'll need the rattle clips etc. Of you buy new front just for jeeps..you'll need the rattle clips and caliper pins.for each caliper. Then you can.buy any 12-17 pad.

Thanks Scott. So if I buy from JustforJeeps, I'd need the clips and pins...then any rotor/pad works?

Also, what do you mean by "loaded" caliper? Sorry not familiar with these parts.

"Loaded" Calipers Include everything Pad's, Rattle Clips and Pins. would be as if you pulled it off a jeep on the lot.

Seriously considering getting MGP caliper covers in the carbon fiber pattern. Seems like just about everyone likes them and hasn't had any issues but wanted to double check before purchasing. And this might be a stupid question but can you install without removing the wheels?

Re: Painting WK2 calipers

Highly doubt they can be installed without removing the wheel, there is a set screw (probably 2 actually) on the back side that needs to be accessed...I don't see any way of doing this with the wheel on.
