Re: Pics of my new bulbs

you're never going to get anything halogen to come close. Are you looking to install this in the high beams?

Re: Pics of my new bulbs

Nothing can come close to HID. Halogen maxxes out at like 1300 Lumens. 4300K HID is 3200 Lumens.

Just out of curiousity Steve, in your kits, do you use rebased D2Rs or D2S's? Of course, the correct ones for reflector based headlight housings like the Jeeps is D2R, but 99% of the kits out there use the D2S's, which are designed for sealed projector based lights.

Re: Pics of my new bulbs

Hey,

We use (and always have) D2S bulbs in our HID kits

In terms of D2S or D2R, Our HID conversion kits use a D2S bulb. We have done various experimentations and for a retrofit application or OE application out side of Europe the D2R bulb is not required. The stripe on the D2R lamps helps hide the salts which would
appear as parasitic images in the light dark transition area of the European Asymmetric dip pattern. On a retrofit or DOT beam pattern (Your headlight), you do not have this light dark transition requirement therefore the D2S bulb is just fine for any application.
