Plasti dip and red calipers

Got it all done last night. Started to get dark so this is the only good picture I got.

Re: Plasti dip and red calipers

Also pulled my grill and did it in Plasti dip, love it so far. I'll get some pics up. Thinking about doing the mirrors also.

Re: Plasti dip and red calipers

it will be interesting to see how plastidip holds up to the caliper temperatures.

Re: Plasti dip and red calipers

Oh no no SuzieQue, sorry for the confusion... We painted the calipers with G2 caliper paint but painted the Wheels with Plasti-Dip. I have had mine plasti dipped for a good 4 months now and it has held up wonderfully!

Re: Plasti dip and red calipers

Ohio plates are hideous....

Nice job on your wheels and calipers though! Let us know how they hold up after the winter gets to them?

Re: Plasti dip and red calipers

Ive seen a lot of guys on the EVO forums that Plasti-dip their wheels for the winter with success. I can hold a power washer an inch away from my Plasti-dipped front lip. It holds up great!

Spray some tire shine on it. Makes it look a lot better!

thanks for clarifying, I have used plastidip and I would not think it works well on items that heat up.

Re: Plasti dip and red calipers

Thanks guys! And yes, I did the wheels with Duplicolor Caliper paint, not plasti dip.

So far they have been holding up great. I had the jeep back in the woods last night for about 8 hours. Nothing too rough but so far no marks or damages to the wheels. Looking forward to winter though
