Plasti-dip emblems

So i decided to give this a try...i mean how hard could it be. I painted my stillens and my mirror covers , well it was a real pain in the a$$. Truthfully, it was freezing out so it took me a while to tape around the letters and the paint didn't dry fully but i didn't care, i just wanted to get the idea of what it'd look like. PLUS...this stuff peals off anyway so when the weather gets better i'm gonna do all the emblems and maybe the roof too!! I just tried it out on the front for now and it looks so cool!!

Re: Plasti-dip emblems

Tough job masking badges up on the car! lol

I'd consider buying a new set of badges, painting them where its warm where you can get a good finish, and replacing those when complete.

"A" for effort mate

Yeah I'd have bought a set for painting, much easier than taping the badges. But top marks, you've done a great job. Looks really good, probably could do with another coat, but as you say it is more of a test run.

I'm seriously thinking about doing my badges in black, but I'm unsure how it'd look cause my Jeep is black also.

Re: Plasti-dip emblems

Thanks guys, it was alot of work but the payoff is sickkkk!! I'm gonna try to paint it on with a brush next time instead of spray paint. I definately suggest you paint your emblems black. Even on a black truck the plastidip is like a matte finish, so it would absolutley stand out. And worst case...you just peel it off!

True, there would still be a contrast. I've got some spare badges, so....
