Re: plasti-dipped hood

yeah! thats what I'm talking about! Glad you guys are taking to this plasti dip like I did, its great stuff! I should of invested in their company first though, I think this board doubled their sales alone. LOL

Its too cold for me now and I dont know when the next time will be that I can get access to a heated garage, already did my wheels and wiper arms but along with my grill, roof rails, front air dam, rear bumper pad, rear bumper hitch trim, the actual hitch receiver I was actually thinking of paining all the lower body mouldings on my 02 WJ GC with Plasti Dip too. I really like the flat black on black look, its subtle but still noticeable. Looks killer on silver. Good work Mic!

Re: plasti-dipped hood

do they have a satin or gloss plastic dip? This is just my opinion...but it just looks like primed parts to me

Re: plasti-dipped hood

haha yea giggity your right, i am thankful i got a heated garage :P

DGora31
when i was doing the hood i had 1 and a half can, my friend with me said i wouldn't have the slightest chance in doing the hood with what i had, but i proved him wrong, all in all i used 2 cans just cause i wanted to do more coats just to be on the safe side, so 2 cans to do the hood, i am hoping 2 cans for the roof as well. and my wheels seem to be holding up pretty well, gave them only a few coats but i am sure if they can last through a canadian winter they can last through a lot lol

thanks for the compliments gentleman, ill have more pics up for you guys soon

I wonder if you can put a satin clear coat on it... I mean if the base coat just peels off, why wouldn't it peel off with the clear coat on top of it?

I do agree, it looks primed ... Do your whole jeep

Re: plasti-dipped hood

not to be a downer by i think it would have looked better if you did just the grille...the hood is too much in my opinion. then again once you do the roof imy opinion might sway! lol. good job.

Sick!! Since your doing 1/3 of your WK plasti-dip, you might as well do the whole thing! That would be official! Very UAV-ish. ha. Nice job man!
