Please take pictures!!! Especially if you have the chrome one! I am getting my shackles in this weekend and will be taking off the grill anyway. I would love to see how this turns out.

Re: Plasti-Dipped Wheels

I did this to my stock set of rims too..

Ill be putting them back on my jeep around the 2nd week of dec. for a long road trip. (2500 miles round trip in 4 days)

Hopefully the coating will last. PS, dont buy from sears, they wanted something like 32 bucks with shipping and tax because they dont carry them in stores, Home depot is the way to go, like mentioned, 12 bucks

Re: Plasti-Dipped Wheels

That looks pretty good. I've been thinking about painting my M109r rims black and now I'm 100% sold on doing it myself. Thanks for the pics.

Re: Plasti-Dipped Wheels

Update: Just took a trip up the Hunter Mtn. (Upstate NY) this weekend. It was snowing, they threw sand and salt on the roads. And after 350 miles round trip, I must say that these wheels look exactly the same. I didn't think they would hold up but they did really well.

That came out really nice man! What kind of grille is that? Or is it one of those home depot made ones?

That cut is pretty nasty too. I accidentally double clicked on the image and brought up the full resolution. Pretty graphic.

Re: Plasti-Dipped Wheels

I'm a doc, and judging from your picture you need a couple stitches or need to do a good job approximating the edges of that wound with steri-strips or dermabond. A full thickness tear/cut like that can leave a ball of scar tissue that can be annoying!
