Re: Question on Vinyl wrapping

I know that someone posted what they felt price should be to wrap chrome accents around doors and windows. I was quoted $550 but this was to essentially black out my truck. I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee high Altitude and I was going to black out front bumper, front grille, rear bumper, rear tail lights, all doors and windows. The installer uses Avery product and has a good reputation. Thanks

Re: Question on Vinyl wrapping

No more than 200. I used to work at a vinyl shop and a lot of them prefer to remove the trim to wrap all the way around and leave no chrome peaking through. That is the main concern and the laborious part of the job.

Re: Question on Vinyl wrapping

I got mine done a couple months ago - all the chrome around the Windows. Guy did a pretty decent job but I have to go back for a couple touch ups where he didn't cut straight lines and he struggled to get around the mirrors. I paid $200. Overall I'm satisfied with the end result but I'm a perfectionist and I'm not sure I like it but I'm afraid to pull it off and see what the chrome looks like from using a torch as heat vs heat gun.

Re: Question on Vinyl wrapping

That quote is outrageous. I was quoted $130-$140 for standard matte black (3M Matte). Gloss was maybe $15 more.

I would definitely shop around. A tint shop is who quoted me. They're a chain; maybe they are in PA (Tint World).

Re: Question on Vinyl wrapping

I looked around at a couple tint shops and it's surprising how many shops in my area don't do it! The only places I've been able to find locally are companies that do wrapping commercially and I've never heard back from any of them....I have a guy who does tints and the clear film protection but he didn't seem too eager to do it. I'm pissed that I have to drive all the way to Lancaster (I live outside of Harrisburg) for touch ups.
