Question Question to Quad Squad guys

Hello fellow Squad guys,
Found it a great idea to add the extra lights to the rear light assy´s. But when taking off mine, i saw that i already have 4 lt bulbs per side. ( rear/brake lt, blinker lt, backoff lt and rear fog lt) I don´t know if this is an European thing (my WJ is build in Austria) or has to do with the model year. (04)
But i have now already the bulb in place( one glow wire is for the fog lt), i "only" have to connect it internally with the upper rear light to make it work. This only means that i have to remove the rear light assy lens. Anyone an idea how to do this without damaging the lens or light assy? Or any other option?

Re: Question to Quad Squad guys

Only the USA and Canadian cars don't have the Fog light in the back of the Tailight. All other countries are required to have them. You could just take out the Fog Bulb and tape the Socket over and do the Quad Light Mod.

Re: Question to Quad Squad guys

I have done the quad rears mod to my UK model XJ.We have a rear fog light at the bottom of our rear clusters.
I removed the lamp holders and replaced them with stop/tail lampholders wired up to the existing stop/tail wiring,But installed a diode in the rear fog light wiring harness so the bottom part of the cluster still has rear fog when switched on but stoplight when fogs are switched off.
Photos to follow.
