Replacing highbeam bulbs?

ok fellas dont kill me, i searched quite a few key words before i made this thread. nothing popped up as in what im looking for....

anyways i want to upgrade the highbeam bulbs for the whip-

im not going to HID them, thats seems a bit extreme to me-

what are some replacement bulbs that would look crispier than stocks slightly yellow look we currently have in there???

any info or links would be appreciated.

cheers-

Re: Replacing highbeam bulbs?

yeah i hear ya, i want to upgrade the look for back road county driving- i need highbeams on more than my HID lows.

just want to satisfy my eyes when ever i look at it from both in and out of the car.

im OCD like that- just like how i wont put on my NON_HID FOG lights until i HID them to match the headlights-
^^^things like that egg me on. for some reason i just cant stand it

cheers scott

Re: Replacing highbeam bulbs?

i can get you some tonight.

i never used the highs until last october when we went to the grand canyon. i drove back late september, DEER and ELK everywhere. they really lit up the road. even my brother, who DD is a ML350 with Projectors was like WTF. they are dot legal. should last at least as long as a stock bulb. i dont like it when someone retro fits HIDs so I didnt want to do HIDs.

Re: Replacing highbeam bulbs?

thanks for taking the time to snap the pics for me later bro.

yeah deer is a huge problem out my folks house upstate. i already hit a deer with my ZJ a while back. not trying to hit a deer in the SRT- plus i drive extra alert and slower on pitch black back roads up there cause of them.

also those lil horns things to by from auto stores dont do shit- ive used them in the past to only find theyre completely useless! haha

cheers -

Re: Replacing highbeam bulbs?

i know the deer alert dont work. most of my drive is deer/elk free. but bro elk are over 1000 pounds like hitting a cow.......or 2.

onn the way to the Grand canyon, we came upon a piece of road in Utah. huge flashing signs "EXTREME CAUTION; 40 MPH; Wildlife migration area; deer on road, dead and alive.

oh my bro. we saw about 200 scattered acorss the road. some were writhing, still alive but crippled, it was insane. middle of the day. so yeah, on the way home, high beams when it got to dusk bro.

Re: Replacing highbeam bulbs?

I remember being on the i95 going to PA me and my mom were driving and noticed what we thought was red leaves on the road in front of us... but it was an effin dear that had been hit so hard it looked liked ground beef. Must have been a 18 wheeler or something going 90
