Thats is awesome Mario. One question can it be retracted out from inside the truck? Just curious about how good the signal is. Would be cool if you were pulled over and the cop states you don't have a front plate and wham!!! lol.
Yes it can be retracted from inside and today I was able to retract it from about 3 cars away, but I haven't tested the range yet.
Not sure if the cop would like that thou... But I bet he would be like WTF...?
I saw this a while ago and thought it was awesome but couldn't figure out a way to get it on the WJ. Glad to see you can get it to work on the SRT though.

Awesome Mario, love it! I am just keeping my Jeep registered in NY while I am here in Texas...they don't know any better here...if it's out of state, no worries!
niceeee, i like...have you guys seen any for the rear? i know a guy who had the license plate through fog or smoke to blur out the rear. something crazy. florida doesnt require the front license plate.
Just to note if I do this mod, my intentions are totally different.
(Never have the plate up, but when I get pulled over, hit the switch and watch the WTF look on the cops face. But knowing my luck the battery in the remote is dead. lol)
That's the difference in our ages my young padawan, I used to think like that .
Remember you might get that cop pissed off and he'll give you other tickets if you play that on him.
I'm not saying I'll be driving around with the plate hidden. I'll have it up while driving (that didn't sound right ). But yes if I forget to have it up I'll just tell the officer the truth, that I forgot to put it up after the car show or whatever I was at . If I get a ticket while the plate is down I will not get mad and i'll completely understand the officer. maybe after that I won't forget to put it up anymore.
But when I'm at a show or racing or out of any public road that plate is off my bumper .
I hope that makes things clear with my intentions with this mod.

Those are cool I know several guys wo have those with C5 & C6 vettes here in Washington and they have theres wired to a switch in the car. Most of them have never gotten a ticket since they just flip them out when they get pulled over LOL.
Just had it on since Friday but that thing is screwed on man, I don't see it coming off just by driving around... Plus I went down the track with it all weekend and still there after going 100+ mph. I do not suggest opening it or closing it while the jeep is moving thou.
BTW, I just tested it here at work on the range and I'm as far as 50yds from the jeep and it flipped open and close, so the range is there. I'll test later what's the farthest it'll reach.
Definitely cool! I know you mentioned it has a remote, however by chance is there a way to wire it to the instrument cluster on the dash / add new button?
Thanks Scott! And it was nice talking to you also. Thanks for answering the questions I had on the bumper but it was so easy to install it that the bumper didn't have to come off or anything, just wanted to make sure by talking to you.
