Side Moldings

I am wondering if anybody knows where I can buy side mouldings that match the paint. Right now the molding are black. I have see them match the color of the Jeep but need to find where I can get them.

I have a 06 Grand Cherokee WK.

Re: Side Moldings

You're gonna have to take them to a shop and get them painted... or you can tackle the task yourself if you are up to it and have the skills

Re: Side Moldings

I have a picture of someone jeep with out the moldings. There are holes from the clips left over and the molding are recessed in to the body some so there is a groove from where they were. To look good w/o them you would need to have a shop fill the space where they were and re paint. It looks terrible w/o them, i will post a pic when i get to my other computer later.

Here, This is a pic of my WK when it was in the body shop. You can see what it looks like behind the moldings on the drivers rear door.

Re: Side Moldings

Just paint them yourself... Well pay someone.. You can get them painted for $75-150 bucks.. Rather than pay 3 times that

Re: Side Moldings

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I will be leaving them on or looking into getting them painted, I don't have the patience to paint. I didnít realize that there are clips holding them on. Good to know.

Re: Side Moldings

Our fellow member just took out his moldings all together and got someone to paint over the holes.. if you look closely he has no moldings.

Re: Side Moldings

That does look good. Did you have the holes welded?

Re: Side Moldings

I dont think he had the holes welded, there is no reason to. They will actually help with adhesion of the body filler i would think. But the doors do need to be completely re painted to do a job like that right.

This is another members Jeep w/o the molding on while they are getting painted.
