Side steps

Hi Guys.
Is there anybody installed the OEM side tubular side step for 2015 grand cherokee?
Where can you buy with the good price?
Are they easy to install?
Do I need to lift the car or not?

Thanks,
Jerome

Re: Side steps

I installed steps on a 2014 very easy to install u do not have to remove the side skirt as the instructions suggest the bracket will slide up into the sill. Their is a wiring loom running down one side I in bolted that and dropped it down which made it heaps easier to bolt up on that side. Only took a couple of minutes to drop down and put up. As for buying I found a secondhand set on eBay. Genuine jeep steps in black.

Re: Side steps

I just ordered these running boards last night. I will probably go somewhere to get them installed. I dont have the resources (Garage/tools/knowledge) to install them myself.

This is a Aus site but a copy of jeep genuine for 1/3 price, the key to look out for is the bracket, that is how jeep genuine ones are.

Re: Side steps

Basti, the mud flaps were done by the dealer, but I doubt that it is a hard job, again u can get them on eBay for about $60 over here so should be cheaper in the states.
My roof racks are yakamar/ whispbar brand they are for the SRT8, altitude, Blackhawk models that have the black channel on top not the chrome that is on the Laredo, limited etc. they not released yet as my car was the test mule and mine are the pre production set. What model do you have?

Re: Side steps

Those look pretty close to the ones I just installed. Mine are not OEM. It took about 20 minutes to put them on and I didn't have to raise the vehicle. Just needed a couple of wrenches.
