Swapping fog light bulbs

Sorry for the stupid question -- I bought new Silverstar 9145ST bulbs for my fog lights. Easy to install? Do I need to remove the fogs or can I simply unplug the original bulbs and plug in the new ones.

I figured I'd ask for some 'expert' advice/insight before going out in the 18* weather to take a look.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Swapping fog light bulbs

you just twist the socket from underneath Peter. then once the bulb is out the housing. pull it out and swap with new bulb. keep new bulb free of fingerprints or clean before reinstall.

Re: Swapping fog light bulbs

I was thinking about going with 9005 bulbs but the guy at the store talked me out of them. If it wasn't 18* out right now, I'd go and do it now And tomorrow doesn't look any better so I'll dress warm!

Next thing I want to look into is hooking up my rear fogs to work with my brakes. I hear it's a simple thing to connect them into the trailer rig....IDK.
