Hi all, I've just joined this thread and please excuse my ignorance if my question has already been answered. I thought I would test the combined knowledge of all you Jeepers. I'm a Jeep virgin - well, hope to be.. and I'm from Sydney Australia.
In the attached link Jeep shows off Moab Easter Safari concepts crawling the red rocks
there's a picture of a JGC Summit with modifications.
The JGC pictured here Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk II Concept Photo Gallery - Autoblog
has as quoted in the linked article: the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept..., complete with the company's EcoDiesel V6 engine. Designers threw in a set of 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires wrapped around 17-inch Rubicon wheels, and a set of custom fender flares help keep all that rubber under wraps.
How difficult would it be to do the same with my MY14 (whenever it arrives in Oz)? I know where to get the tyres of course, but what modifications would I need to do to have the 35" tyres? Would the Off-road Pack II and the Quadra Lift suffice or am I looking at major mods - which I would rather not do. Are the custom fender flares, as depicted, difficult to source? Any info out there?
If I need to do major mods to suit the above tyre/wheel combo, what size tyres would therefore be suitable with my coming order without mods? 33" tyres O.K?
