Re: To DeBadge Or Not To DeBadge...

If anything you can stick them back on with some 3M tape. And as you can see from all the posts its a personal choice, everyone likes different looks. For me, why the hell would I be showing off I have a tiny 3.7, and its an suv so im sure everyone assumes its a 4x4.

Yeah its either go for the clean sleek look or keep the badges which look great and tie in your black and chrome theme.

Re: To DeBadge Or Not To DeBadge...

DAVY take the emblem off the hood! Ben isn't usually this smart but I've gotten "nice Jeep" from a chick (debadged). When asked, she said the seven-slot grille gave it away

Re: To DeBadge Or Not To DeBadge...

Alright I thought about it, debadge it. You have the chrome strip in the rear which ties in the theme. Taking them (the badges) off is going to make it look clean.

I currently have that setup now. Just jeep in the back and front.

Looks clean indeed.

Re: To DeBadge Or Not To DeBadge...

I did not read any of this thread. This is a unaduterated opinion!
Sand them and paint them to match the body. Even the "Jeep" on the hood.
I could never take off a HEMI emblem anyway.

Eh. Then it looks like you had to respray the Jeep and didn't bother taking the emblems off.

I do kinda like the idea of non-chrome emblems though - maybe something subtle like flat paint, or paint them a couple shades lighter or darker than the body color.

I never thought about that. I've seen black emblems on black performance cars, Buick Grand Nationals being one, and it looked great.
