It is illegal to have more than 4 lights on at the same time on in the state of NJ and NY it is stupid but I went to the dealer and that is what they said
Some has been able to talk the dealership into having them turn it on for them. IMO, its another worthless law. If you leave your high beams at a oncoming car, its a illegal. So why not make it legal for you to have more than 4 "driving" lights on?
IDK about the wk2 but there is another way(on my wk1) without the starscan. I guess this only works with an aftermarket HID and a relay. On the relay there is a connector per side. Supposedly you connect the low beam connector on the main wiring harness to it on each side. BUT if you connect the low beam harness to one connector of the relay and the high beam connector to the other side, the HIGH and LOW will BOTH go own. The high will automatically turn on so now way of it having it off unless you unplug the high beam connector from the relay. You can then turn on the fogs too.
Dont recommend doing this, i just stumbled on it while rewiring all my lights.
