Re: What I have been up too.

It looks like the spray expanding foam is coming out the drain slots at the bottom of the door, did you accidentally fill them up? They are for all the rain and such which gets into the door to drain out....

If you look at the door picture, you can see it says, Grace Ice and Water Shield. Roofing membrane.

Where/why did you use expandafoam? That stuff will cause rot because it can hold water. So if its in the bottom of the doors, water will get in there soak in to the foam and pre maturely cause rust and mold.

Truck sits really nice bro... I love the false floor. Do the amps get hot at all under there?

Re: What I have been up too.

I'll try and answer all the questions. I dont know how to put everyones quote in the same box yet.

I used Henry Blueskin air and vapor barrier membrane in the cargo area floor, since thats asphalt based and tends to get soft and might "run" when it gets hot out. I used Grace Vycor Plus on the inside door skin and door panels which is a rubber based that stands up to high temps. I also layered peel and stick EPDM membrane in the doors which is supr thick and made to be exposed on roofs.

I used exapandable Great stuff window and door foam and completely filled the cargo door frame solid and spraying it along the bottom of the doors along the seams. It makes the door very solid. The spray foam does not hold water, it is a closed cell foam, so no rotting. I was careful to shape the foam in the door so it slopes to the drain holes, then cleared the holes with a screwdriver for water drainage.

Im not 100% sure of the lowering springs other than they say Eibach on them. I bought them from someone on the other site and he said they were for the WK. I put them in with my cousin in my driveway. Used a compressor to remove the stock front springs, but the eibachs are so short a compressor wasnt needed to get them back on. The rear lower shock bolts were on so tight I used the compressor to get the eibacks in there. I notice the rears are not seated when the back is jacked up, they float almost an inch from the top. When I look at pix of lowered srt8's I think mine looks the same, so maybe they are the srt8 eibachs??? But wouldnt modification of some sort be needed?

Handling is unreal with the eibachs i think, they are so stiff the car seems stick to the road. But going over highway construction sucks, I bottom them out.

Its getting there. I actually have the itch to remove the seats and do the floor boards and firewall with peel n stick. I have rolls of the Henry Blueskin membrane I got off job sites. Not only are the doors I did very quiet, now all the holes are sealed and the speakers are louder and clearer.

Yes, they do. On hot days I cant hold my hand on the heat sinks that long they are so hot, but have never shut off yet. I have made over a dozen 2 hour trips with the stereo up all the way and no issues at all. I think these amps are made to run hot.
