Alright guys, I am still planning on buying rims in the very near future... pretty much when I find the prices I want I'm going to start buying. The big questions is... what do I get? ha

Options are:
1) 20" SRT reps
2) 22" in something else
3) Wait for 22" Viper reps

I am not going to wait monthes and monthes for the Viper wheels but if we can get a guaranteed release date in the next month or 2 then I will wait. I'm getting ready to email Factory Reproductions and see if I can get anything out of them.

Also, where is the best place online to buy tires for good prices? Ebay?

Opinions please...

I would definitely do the black Reps BUT with all the chrome trim and probably not having the money to get all the chrome trim painted silver, I was probably going to do chrome

Ya i'm thinking the same thing. I sent an Email to Factory Reproductions asking them about the Vipers so well see what kinda response I'll get. I definitely want to do something within the next month so if they still don't have a set date in the next few weeks then im going to do chrome reps. Where should I get tires at?? Ebay? What are your guys recommendations on brand and sizes? I would do the 20x10 and 20x9 wheels

not necessarily... im planning on keeping my stock wheels and tires for the winters. I do need something half decent in rain though as it is my DD

hmmmm.....I luv my runflats...but some people dont. they are great in all situations...but pricey. I was gonna suggest finding one of the nuts on the cherokeesrt8.com that are selling a low mile set and get them. stay under 5000 miles if you get a used set and have them road force balanced and get the alignment for sure. If you have trouble...PM me I have two rear SRt tires just setting here...but one of them was patched.

What about something not as pricey but obviously still a good tire? and what about size?

So I think im going to do the SRT reps. Will I notice any difference in doing 20x9's or doing the staggered set up (20x9 in front, 20x10 in back)?

And does anyone have any experience with Toyo Proxes ST? I found 275/45/20's for $490 shipped.

you will notice 1" wider in the rear....LOL! J/k! There are no ill effects from going staggered. The look is awesoem i will say that. But the 20x9's are more practical when it comes to tires

I emailed FR last week asking about them and still haven't gotten a response. I'm also going to try calling them this week and see if I can get anything out of them. I'm just impatient

Scott, what do you think about doing 20x9's and doing Toyo Proxes ST in 275/45/20?

Toyo makes good tires and the ST's are all season right? Is it the ST II's? Try tirerack.com and see how they rate in their system.

I've been thinking the same thing... thats why I was going to go ahead and do the SRT reps

#25 ·
There are some online dealers that sell them. The first site I looked at was $497 shipped for 4 275/45/20's

#24 ·
I didn't even see Toyos anywhere at tirerack.com

#26 ·
I would say vipers but like Joe said. I want black vipers myself. I'll see by next spring if vipers ever come out.

#29 ·
Ya I have the fortera triple treads on mine right now

I actually like the look of the ST's better than the STII's
