thanks.....just found an installer through one of the recommended shops. I hope to hear from them tomorrow. They are going to go out and look at a GC and give me an estimate

I figured it would be like that from your write up i see the pics how the Vinyl loos so stright n stiff but the n wen u heat it up seems to mold good on there..Ive played around with vinyl before but still not soo confident to do the whole roof my self seemd a bit hard and i think the reason all shops r telling me the ridges will be harder makes it worst One way or another this mod will be done but if i wait i will get it cheaper like i said i will not pay moore then 300 for it

Did you do it for looks alone? I mean I remember the cars in th 80's that had vinyl padded roofs.

Me too, and not fondly. Some of them even went so far as to have a fiberglass shell between the regular roof metal and the vinyl. I inherited a POS Ford that had one on it. It was simple enough to take off the shell with the vinyl, but the adhesive they used was a HUGE hassle to remove.

F-U-G-L-Y doesn't even begin to 'cover' it.
