Re: WK Interior Dash Kits

I think the white would look good. You could maybe have them add a little pearl or something to the stone white

Sure. I was thinking of doing Katzkin's. I got a sample board, peeled off the samples I thought would look good in my WK, put them next to the dash and threw out 90% of them. I then drove around with the 4 remaining samples for weeks before I choose the "right" one. I never bought the leather, but the lesson was clear - live with your choice before you make the final decision.

Re: WK Interior Dash Kits

the thing about paint is it can be changed easily. maybe paint one of the door bezels yourself....if you dont like it...try another till you find what you like. When you find what you like.....have a shop paint them.

Re: WK Interior Dash Kits

Another thought - because of the black and aluminum accents, maybe a black with heavy metal flakes would look good. Something like the black paint they used on the 5.9 ZJs. Or a candy (?) treatment - black base with khaki or silver flakes.

Re: WK Interior Dash Kits

When I get the chance to do it, I am going to cover my wood trim pieces and a few others in vinyl. Probably either a red to match the red rock exterior paint or a faux carbon fiber.

Re: WK Interior Dash Kits

For 2008-2010 WK owners, Mopar makes a quality 6-piece molded dash kit, but only in silver or blackwood finish: http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_applique.htm

Re: WK Interior Dash Kits

i puked in my mouth when i saw that e bay kit. (sorry to anyone that may have it) IMO your interior is gorgeous, very classy. i would love to have mine look like yours but i understand wanting to change things up a little. what look are you intending? sportier? luxurious?

Re: WK Interior Dash Kits

You know what would look good here? Paint those trim bezels PX8 or PXR black.

Re: WK Interior Dash Kits

I like the flake idea too Red Rocker...I think black with Khaki flakes would look and flow well

Thanks milous for the link...since I do know the radio bezel is all one piece, do the trim pieces in the Mopar kit just adhere over the existing pieces? I wounder if you could see any of the previous colored wood under them???

To tell you the truth Spiker I love my interior too...just for some reason it is too light for me...with the greystone and khaki and light wood IMO it can feel bland inside. Plus I do like the look of the wood, but it can be "fake looking". Also notice how my air vents are stainless look, shifter and parking brake are black, then you ad the chrome and two-tone leather and it can be a little busy.

Now that I look at it Joe I think a black to match the shifter and PB would look good...

Scott - How much should I expect to pay to get all of the interior trim pieces painted??

Re: WK Interior Dash Kits

if you prep the pieces yourself....probably about $150. By prep I mean...take the pieces off...degrease....lightly sand and then coat with adesion promotor and then prime really good...sanding very light between coats. Get them super smooth and drop them off to be painted
