Just paint your headlights inside gloss black... and carbon fiber the rest. BUT i saw under your sig, your gonna convert the front end to an 08, you might as well do that now bc your gonna need a new grill... JMO

Re: WK Wrapped Carbon Fiber Grille

That would be easier. I took apart my lights... wrapping them would seem insane to do lol

Re: WK Wrapped Carbon Fiber Grille

This place has good prices:Metro

I would recommend the M500 vinyl they sell. I called to order DiNoc and the sales rep told me I'd be better off with the M500 they sell, it is a bit thinner, kooks just as good, and is rated for 6-9 years outdoors. It is actually designed for automotive use.

For the headlights, I'd recommend satin black over gloss. The plastic lens provides some gloss anyway, but the satin paint adds nice contrast IMO

Vinyl on my side trim:

Oh yeah Murf! Did you have to use any adhesive? I'm going to purchase from the site you gave me.

Re: WK Wrapped Carbon Fiber Grille

I did not, but I am going to use some 3M 94 primer when I re do my rear step pad. The step pad is the only piece that I did that is not adhering well. The plastic on that is kind of waxy feeling, and I just tried wraping it on a whim as I had just enough left over to do it. I really like the way it looks, so I ordered the primer, and I am going to try it again. The M500 is very easy to work with, this is the first time I ever used vinyl on anything, and the results are very good IMHO.

Re: WK Wrapped Carbon Fiber Grille

So mainly what I have to do is to just to wrap it onto the grille. No Glue, nothing right?

Re: WK Wrapped Carbon Fiber Grille

Correct, clean the grill very thoroughly. I'd lay the vinyl over the face, work out any bubbles on the face, then start heating it around the edges of the grill openings and work the vinyl in. That is a pretty deep contour to get it into, but I think with a little heat and careful cutting it should be possible.

Re: WK Wrapped Carbon Fiber Grille

I did the grill in black matte vinyl and I will never, ever attempt to wrap another grille.
