Re: 0-60

Could be but was calibrated first. Do plan to try a few more with the Torque update set to .1 second for validation, with a 1 second update can only tell that runs appear to be between 7 and 8 seconds, TQ appears to have about a 2500 rpm stall speed, & shift occurs a hair under 6300 rpm.

Just not sure it can capture all of the parameters in a tenth of a second so may need to scale back some. Do want to watch the intake back pressure (IMAP) & total advance closely at high rpm & load.

Re: 0-60

Just for sake of argument you could also hand time it. That won't be as accurate but it won't be off by more than a few tenths. Use that to double check your GTech results.

Re: 0-60

I was try with my 3.6 i get only 8.5 from 0-60 is that ok ?
So the diffrent between 3.6 and 5.7 is only 1 second for 0-60

Re: 0-60

^ 8.5 sounds more like it. I think 8.1 is the best official time I've read (from magazine reviews). The Hemi seems to consistently get 7.5, but that's usually a loaded Overland or Limited. A Laredo may be a tick quicker.

Re: 0-60

Sport mode is on one of the 4wd options. My Laredo (4wd, V6) has the offroad package and those skid plates look kind of beefy, I bet they add a couple of hundred pounds to mine.

I will let you know after I get mine..it's on order. I can tell you my 05 Hemi did it in 6.8 seconds, but this one is not going to be as quick. I have a Diablo Sport Trinity that I use to time my Corvette Z06 and will use it on the Jeep.

Re: 0-60

I own a 2012 5.7 Overland but I'm out for any tests due to living at 8,000 ft. nor having the proper timing gear. The other thing that would be helpful is for people to list their altitude when they do these tests. 3% loss of power for every 1,000 ft. above sea level. Would sure like to see a blower kit of some kind compatible with the warranty and EVIC.

Re: 0-60

Why do you want feedback? There's been many controlled tests, by many magazines. Those times are often "ideal", and corrected, but at least they give you a reference. I'd say it's more accurate than a DIY way of measuring acceleration.

3.6 Laredo X 4x4 = 0-60 in 8.2 secs from C&D:

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ad-test-review

Hemi Overland 4x4 = 0-60 in 7.5 secs from C&D:

http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...and-4x4-page-5

3.6 Limited 4x4 = 0-60 in 8.7 secs from MT:

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...rokee_arrival/

Hemi Overland 4x4 = 0-60 in 7.3 secs from MT:

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/..._v8/specs.html

3.6 Limited 4x4 = 0-60 in 8.4 secs from MT:

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ion/specs.html

These are just a few, but they at least give us an idea.

Re: 0-60

OK, just creating a personal frame of reference so I can tell if CAI and such makes a difference in my GC. Change is more important than numbers as long as repeatable. Just had five runs within 1/10 of a second of each other so not outliers.

As for magazines, I do not have access to Jan Norbye's magic stopwatch but the media is legendary for accuracy.

Do plan to use a second independant means (maybe two others) to correlate the G-tech's readings but suspect my Laredo is a couple of hundred pounds lighter than any of the test cars & is a 2012 with a few slipstreamed revisions/fewer options, not an '11.

For example that first C&D article says "Our Grand Cherokee Laredo with four-wheel drive weighed in at 5005 pounds. In initial testing, we recorded a 0-to-60 time of 8.2 seconds. " I have good reason to believe mine has a curb weight of under 4500 lbs & very close to a 50-50 weight distro. If necessary, I'll go to the dump and find out.

Will need to wait for the weekend though, am otherwise occupied during the week.
