1 Month Report

2014 JGC v6 4x4
package
8.4an
ORA-I
August built

Traded in a Tacoma for this vehicle. Wanted to keep things simple so less likely to break. This was the closet thing I could find in Granite. My very first brand new car.

I/we absolutely love the JGC. So luxurious. Nice seats. Nice amenities.

Now at 390 miles. Zero major issues so far. I know about the supposed tranny issues. Doesn't seem to be a major problem to me. Yes, it seems it likes to up shift early, but vehicle drives nice and smooth. I think some people are giving too much throttle trying to compensate and makes thing clunky. Just a theory.

I do hear some sort of vibration at the rear. Can't tell if its the license plate holder or wiper or spoiler.

Also I hear a clunk when I'm turning at the rear sometimes, but that may be from my crap I have in the cargo. Like straps, compressor, umbrella, and torque wrench. Or maybe even that rear cover.

as of right now 9/10 from me.

Oh maybe it's just me, but the JGC is a bird poop magnet. Drives me nuts. Not just small drops, but like a handful of shit or so it seems. Lol

Re: 1 Month Report

wow, 9/10 brings a . I can't wait to see what excitement 10/10 brings.

I would rate mine as 9/10 as well, but I'm waiting for a pizza to pop out of the glove box...that would be 10/10

Anyways, It seems like most of your vibration problems can be narrowed down by shifting stuff around, and hopefuly the "big" stuff won't affect your August build ( it hasn't on my Aug build , but there will be/ are some small stuff....small stuff)

Al

Lol I didn't see that face when I made the post. Must have accidentally bumped it on the tablet. Tried to fix it, but too late I guess.

Re: 1 Month Report

Glad you are enjoying your Jeep. What color is it?

There's a great blue heron and a great egret that frequent the pond across the street. they always seemed to miss my white Liberty and my white MDX. They seem to aim at my maximum steel JGC.

One of the culprits:

I think it's either ducks or seagulls.

Re: 1 Month Report

Thanks for the update.

Regarding the noise coming from the back. I read on another post that their spare tire wasn't locked down and would make noise every time they went over a bump. Something worh checking out.

Since I have a lake at the rear of my house, the egrets and herons love to sit on the roof over the lower level. And they sure do leave some huge deposits while they stand there and stare. I'd hate to have one of them splatter a windshield while driving. No doubt would be blinded till I could get the washers activated.
