10K Miles Service Question and Paint Quality Issues

Hello

I just hit 10K miles in my 2014 GC and I had it detailed today by one of my friends. While and after he detailed the car, he noticed a lot of scratches and stuff on my paint. There is also a line on the drivers side above the rear door/rear window and side trunk window that looks like the paint is faded.

My questions are:

Is this normal on the GCs?

Does the warranty cover the paint so the dealer can fix the issues and what area of the warranty is it covered under? (I'm guessing the new car warranty but I'm not sure)

Did anyone else experience something similar with their GC?

Also I just hit 10K miles. What kind of service should I do? I know I need to do the oil change and tire rotation but is there anything else because the manual starts the service schedule at 20K miles.

Thank you all for helping out and sorry for all the questions. I just want to get to the bottom of these things before the Fall semester starts up again.

I have about 5-6 spots of dust in the paint. Creates like a little braille spot on the paint. Also have a paint run on passenger side door.

Never brought it up. I trade in every year or two. Get tired of what I'm driving and chose another.

Mine is leased and I had it for 7 months already out of the 39 month lease so I get what you're saying.

10K Miles Service Question and Paint Quality Issues

I have inconsistent paint spots on my 14 Summit Crystal Granite. It looks like I left the wax on too long or something so the paint looks slightly darker or cloudy in some spots. I've read in other threads that this is common with that color. However, since it's leased the last thing I want to do is to lose it for several weeks while it gets re-sprayed... And it'll never look the same, so I'll deal with it.

Did you ever determine if the paint was covered? I have a 2014 black summit, and around one of my rear wheel wells the paint looks like it is completely gone. It is on the rear bumper piece that folds in around the wheel well. my truck has 11k miles.

Re: 10K Miles Service Question and Paint Quality Issues

My paint is great, but I have a "blob" in between the rear bumper and rear quarter panel. It's on the quarter panel right at the gap. I deal with it cause the rest of my paint is good to go and I prefer factory paint to after the fact.
