12 month warranty

Oct will be 12 months of ownership with my Limited. I'm going to bring it in for an oil change and see if they'll replace all my wiper blades while still under the 12 months, 12 ,000 mile warranty. Also going to rotate tires and go for a wheel alignment. It says that's also covered with in 12 months. Anyone else go this route???

I would not do a wheel alignment unless it really needs it. My experience has been that the alignment is usually better before they touch it.

"Disposables" are not usually warranty items...don't expect to get new wiper blades in that respect!

Hello Jim
(please see page 7 link below) It clearly says wiper blades are covered!

The Basic Limited Warranty lasts for 36 months from the
date it begins or for 36,000 miles on the odometer,
whichever occurs first. But the following items are
covered only for 12 months or for 12,000 miles on the
odometer, whichever occurs first:
• brakes (rotors, pads, linings, and drums);
• wiper blades;
• clutch discs or modular clutch assembly (as
equipped);
• windshield and rear window; and
• wheel alignment and wheel balancing

Your dealer has to prove to Chrysler that your wiper blades are defective. Otherwise Chrysler will not reimburse them for replacing them. If they are not indeed defective you are asking your dealer to lie. I have 11 months on my 2014 Jeep Cherokee and my wiper blades are still like new. I wouldn't feel right asking my dealer to lie on my behalf. My dealer did replace my front brake pads and rotors because they were clearly defective. He also boxed them up and sent them back to Chrysler to show them where they were defective.

I would offer you this suggestion if you plan on keeping your Jeep. Now, before 12 months/12,000 miles is the cheapest time to purchase the Mopar Maximum Care Wrap Service Contract. If you are interested in this Service Contract it most likely will be cheaper to purchase it online. Myself and others from Jeep Garage have been happy with our purchase from Zeigler's.

EDIT: Just saw you already have the Zeigler extended Service Contract. Good move in my opinion.

Down here in South Florida you're lucky to even get a year out of them. The sun is the big problem, dry rots the wiper edge. I'll have them check them out heck I've got nothing to lose.
