Yes, me too. I complained directly to Chrysler about this. Not like its going to do anything. But it might. I will continue to make my voice heard.
I have been working with a dealership and their parts guy kept offering me an aftermarket system. With everything I have been reading in the forums, I had him look back into it. Saw him today, he said he contacted all of his sources and did his own research and confirmed it is on some later MY14 Altitudes.
He then contacted chrysler parts directly and according to him "they didn't tell me now, they said wait". He said he has had this problem with headlights upgrades, he said for weeks he tried to get the stock part and chrysler said no and then one day he called and they gave him a part number. So to me it seems like its coming as an add on. Phew. I am ready.
IMO, Chrysler should do the right thing and offer it to us without labor costs. I feel like if we can pay for the parkview setup (camera and sensors) then Chrysler should cover the labor since this mishap is due to their supply of parts. I feel wronged even though I really love the car.
