Awesome. Congratulations. I was torn on colors when I ordered my Overland back in early February. I originally ordered white on that Saturday but called my salesman on Monday and changed it to granite and I am so glad I did. The wait is killing me and i am really excited about the granite with black leather.

I think Max Steel is better, because it's darker.

This certainly is better than Mineral Gray though.

The wheels along with trimmings and the color matched fenders ruing it for the summit, IMO. However, I also prefer the std lights over the LED style. If I were to go with a '14, it would be this color but with a std limited.

GCM is definitely a shade lighter than Dk Charcoal Pearl.

Re: '14 Granite Crystal Metallic

I am having issues with a repair paint job. Can anyone tell me if their granite crystal reflects light like a prism?

The granite crystal is a very heavy metalflake color and it's appearance can shift considerably under different lighting conditions. In direct sunlight the metalflake is very pronounced. Not so much in shade. When mine's in the garage and I look down the side of the car the metalflake gives more of a non-glossy, satin appearance.

Yes, it reflects light but not multi-color like a prism. If that's the issue you've experienced on your repair then the shop possibly used the wrong metalflake in the paint mix.

Metalflake in some colors can be very difficult to match to the original finish. The higher the metalflake content, the more likely that is to occur. It's also not unusual to see differences in the original factory paint... especially silvers and grays.

Pearlescent colors are also difficult to match to the original finish for much the same reason.

Thank you for replying. They told me I was one out of 100 people that would notice. They are repainting it now but I don't have confidence they are going to get it right.

The first pic is the repair paint job and the second is original.

Re: '14 Granite Crystal Metallic

I'd notice that as well, so make it 2 out of 100.

That is definitely not correct.
