I'm workin on a deal where I'm at 46,020 for an overland v8 with the advanced tech package and the dealer is gonna do 45,556 with the treadlightly discount of 1% off the first price, seems like a good deal to me though I havent shown him my trade yet.

I got the overland with tech pack for 46071. It was a good deal, I thought.

Yeah this dealer was willing to bargain because I came in there well informed about the pricing of the vehicle , options etc so I wasnt interesting in hearing the b. s. line about how they aren't among any money on the deal and he sensed that. Now it's about the trade in money now that I've got the new car price down to where I think is fair.

It was an in stock V8. I decided to get in on this month's lease rates because they were unimaginably good and I didn't want to risk things getting worse next month. I was hoping for a max steel limited with lux II but I am totally satisfied with my decision.

Excellent as long as you're walking away happy with the financial part of the deal and your happy with the car..you're good. I think my numbers are good on the new car, 2 weeks from now someone will get a lil more off then I did so its all about how you feel and how you were treated during the purchase.

In the end, I'm very happy with my price. As you said, someone will always save a little more but the dealer I eventually bought from put up with my tire kicking and emails for almost 6 months. He deserved to get a little business from me. And they were also the cheapest in a 50 mile radius so it worked out for all involved.

Just out of curiosity why didn't you order one and perhaps get a later build then the one you have? I'm not insinuating that something's wrong with the one you have or anyone's else's.

Timing. As I said, I decided that I wouldn't see better rates for a while. They might stay the same next month, but as we get into summer, I think incentives tend to dry up since there are more buyers. Ordering would have put me into mid-June to get it - and after 2 vacations on which it'd be nice to have the new truck.

And I'm impatient and I've been waiting to buy since Nov of last year.

One thing I forgot to mention is that in addition to the low interest rate (.23%) and favorable-for-purchase residual, the admin fee of $795 was waived this month. I'm not sure if that will continue into the summer. None of the dealers I spoke to about leases mentioned this fact but my dealer gave me the numbers for the month. All in all, they were pretty straight with me.
