What credit union is this, CD? Did they give you a money factor?

It was Credit Union Leasing of America. They handle leasing for multiple credit unions. They set the residuals, but each credit union sets their own money factors. Google their site.

That's super helpful! I plugged in the numbers on a 15k 36 month lease (what I would need) and it came back to be 54% residual. That's great. Now I just need to secure a lease with those numbers and I'll definitely be leasing (see my worksheet - the numbers are very favorable for the deal we worked out).

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

Has anyone actually leased a MY14 JGC this month yet? I'm planning on leasing most likely if the numbers make sense. Last I heard was that the residual for my Overland 4x4 with 12,000 miles was 50% and a money factor of .0001 (through US bank instead of Ally). But I've also seen the residual at 52% and higher money factors through ally...

Also, I found out that Ally does NOT charge that $2500 buyout fee anymore. At least, according to my dealer and the nice level 1 service rep that I talked to when I called Ally.

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

I got a quote on a MY14 limited but instead leased a MY13 Laredo X. Both leases were quoted with Hann Financial since I refused to use Ally. The MY14 had a 56% residual with 12K miles at 36mo. I couldn't get the exact MF (guessing around 3%) out of them but it worked out to $529/mo with fees, taxes and 1st payment ($1500) up front.

FWIW, I traded in my 12 Laredo X for a 14 Overland but when I leased my Laredo X (fully loaded HEMI, Nav, Sunroof, Power Liftgate) MSRP of 42,255 I put no money down (except first month payment) and was paying $480 per month. I'm not sure what the cost is of the car your leasing but seeing as its a 13 you should be able to get a better deal and keep the $1000 in your pocket.

Instead of the MY14 I am leasing the MY13 Laredo X msrp 41880 for 389/mo 39mo term. The fees and taxes don't residualize into the lease, I've never understood the point of paying a MF on these expenses when they only increase the cap cost.

The lease residual for the MY13 was only 50% and the MF was around 3% but they offered 5000 in lease cash. The MY14 terms are better but no bonus lease cash.

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

Just got a quote today for an Overland. Details are as follows:

Overland V6 (no other options)
MSRP: $46,990
Sale Price: $42,695
Residual %: 50
Residual Value: $23,495
Term: 39 months
MF: .0023
12K miles per year.

Payment: $575 / month. 0 down Sign & Drive Deal.
Calculated this included about $1300 in fees (795 acquisition fee and first month rolled into payments)

This was simple email / internet contact. Want to see if I can get payment down a little more, thus going to try and see if they come down another $1K - $1500 and me providing first payment down. I figure that should bring me down between $528 - $535 month. Do you guys think the dealer has the ability to come down more?

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

That residual seems low for a 12k mile lease even on the overland. But it is a 39 month term. What's invoice on the truck? The money factor seems very high at 5.52%. That should be much lower. I've never seen such a high interest rate on a lease in recent memory. Chances are that's where they're padding the deal.

You got a pretty good price on the truck but that MF absolutely kills the deal. It is probably double what it should be unless your credit isn't that great.
