Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

I just plugged in that MF in my lease and it adds over $100 to my predicted cost. Take that selling price and shop it around. You're getting jacked on that MF.

Ok I think this may be my bad. I actually think I missed a zero. I believe it should be .00023. However in the email she sent me she stated .23 which doesn't seem right / work. I used the calculator at RIDE with G | monthly lease rates, auto leasing tips, industry news and personal rants to figure out if the payment was accurate and they only way I could match it was with a value of .00023 for the money factor. Thus I think that's right. So my bad on the initial posting.

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

That seems much better. The numbers wouldn't have worked out with such a high MF.

Sounds like a good deal to me.

50% is a terrible residual on a my14. There are much better lease deals out there. Those terms sound like ally rates.

The Overland has terrible residuals. It's not the best car to lease if you don't plan on a purchase at lease end.

Yep, going to a loaded Limited would give you better residuals and be an overall better lease.

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

I just found out lease rates from a local dealer for a 2014 Limited V8. 54% residual and 1.66% interest rate. These are for a 36 month 15k lease.

That interest rate seems high so they might be padding it a bit.

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

Please excuse the long post. I have been following this discussion for a while now. I have always leased my vehicles through an independent leasing company here in NY. They usually beat the dealer prices by at least $40-$50 a month and half the down payment. I walked into my local dealer two days ago as I saw on the web they had a MY14 SRT. White on black fully loaded. $67k was MSRP. I was told i owed 37k on my trade in and they would pay it out no loss on my end. Then we got started on the SRT. No rebates I was told. So I said ok let's see some numbers. This is what i was quoted: (please be sitted before reading the following)
2500 out of pocket monthly payment of 1360 for 48 months with a balloon payment of 30000. I politely asked the financial manager to give me an ounce of whatever he was smoking and walked right out!!!!
I see here you guys get the rates for most GC's but can you get a rate and residual for the MY14 srt??? I wanna know so i can inform myself better when dealing with them. By the way, my independent dealer quoted me 1100 a month 36 months 10k miles with 2500 out of pocket 36 month lease through ally

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

I'm sure the residuals are awful on the SRT...if the buyout (its a buyout, not a balloon payment) on a $67k SRT is $30k, that residual is 44.7%, which is terrible. I'm sure resale on the SRTs is pretty terrible too, hence the low residual.

In order to really know what you're getting you need to know the nuts and bolts of the lease. What is the money factor? Residual? Drive off costs? What fees are rolled in? Etc.

If you're going to buy something at that price point, and want to lease, you need to look at an MB/BMW/Lexus etc.

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

I enjoy having a new car every three years so financing is not for me. The balloon payment options was to try and keep the monthly payment lower than a traditional lease.

You couldn't pay me to use Ally, terrible all around. See if your dealer can get you into a lease from Hann Financial, they are offer some nice rebates right now. Even just using leasecompare.com I can slightly better deals then you quoted. Given a 2014 SRT8 @ 1% under Invoice you are looking about about a 50% residual and a .00224 MF and you should be able to beat both of these with Hann. 12K miles a year and $2500 down at 36mo term payments are $982 without tax, tag or any dealer fees. The residual on something like a BMW X5 will be much higher and the MSD program gives you a more favorable way of lower the rate.

Re: 14' Lease Rates (April)

What's the problem with Ally? They don't have the purchase option fee any longer and what else would you possibly need to deal with them about with a new car?
