We drove 300 miles from Louisville to WV using E85 and got 16.3 MPG per EVIC. Only an hour into the trip back, we are at 20 MPG with a 75% fill up with regular gas. I'll edit when we get home to give the actual mileage. V6 going 70-75mph most of the way with AC on.

EDIT: After getting back, we averaged 19.5 MPG with my lead-footed wife going about 80mph most of the trip. I also noticed that after we had the lower control arms replaced, I have been getting slightly worse gas mileage.

Re: '14 - Roll call for MPG figures

About 130 miles into my v8's life and the EVIC is showing 15.0. This is about 80/20 city driving. It was at 13.0 when I bought it. I think it probably spent some time idling because it only had 15 miles on the clock at the time.

Re: '14 - Roll call for MPG figures

This afternoon after my wife finished a 2 hour Hwy trip, approx 120 miles. This is overall MPG since new. Was totally amazed. Again, 4x4 Hemi on Mid-Grade fuel only.

Another tank down, and I averaged 19.4 this go around. 70-80 MPH on the highway when traffic allows. Downtown Dallas rush hour driving (sitting). Lots of city streets with 35-45 MPH speed limits. A few full throttle runs to evaluate the new cat back. Basically, you name it, I did it as far as "mixed" driving goes, short of driving in the country.

First run in my 11 Ltd V6 from south Denver to Castle Rock. Only 50 miles round trip but pleased to see 22mpg on screen. Cruise control at 70mph when possible. Reasonably light traffic but some city traffic coming home.

Re: '14 - Roll call for MPG figures

Here is 2 pics I took of my mileage. The 1st one is from Appleton to Downtown Chicago where we parked. The 2nd is when we got home. All in all, I can't complain about the mileage as it is the first tank. Pretty much highway driving about 95% of the time.

I will do a write up of the trip in the Members showoff section.

Re: '14 - Roll call for MPG figures

I decided that I'd reset the mileage halfway through my first tank. I am sure that the dealership put 87 in there so I wanted to give the engine a chance on 89 before looking at mileage. To balance it out, I put 93 in. I know. I know. But it was only half a tank and that other half was most likely 87. I figured that would give me 90 as an average. I have no idea if that's how octane works but whatevs.

Anyone notice an improvement after switching to synthetic oil?

After the initial oil change I'll be switching to
Synthetic exclusively. Less wear and tear on the engine during the year and the car heats up quickly in winter.

Re: '14 - Roll call for MPG figures

After putting 6000 miles on my 3.6, I am averaging around 18.5 - 19.0 with mixed driving and pure highway mileage is in the 22.5 range with speeds around 75 to 78 MPH. I think I would have to go 60 MPH to get the 25 EPA rating for highway mileage. I would say the mileage improved about 1 mpg gallon after the JGC was fully broken in.

I have a 2014 Overland v8 hemi and was very impressed with mpg. With 87 octane, I got around 25mpg
on a 30 minute 29 mile trip from pa to nj. Most of the trip I had adaptive cruise on at a speed between 60 and 65. Will start using 89 octane but 87 still can get u good milage.

I am now @ 14.5 with my V6 Ltd in my 2nd tank... 100% city with lots of stop/go n long idling. This seems to be rock bottom and I am pretty impressed. I am doing a 300 mile highway roundtrip this weekend.. will report back on that...
