'14 Set Max Height on Power Liftgate?

Just picked up a '14 Overland this weekend and was wondering if there was a way to set/teach the maximum height of the power liftgate open action? It hits my garage door. Looked through the manual and couldn't find anything about doing this. I do know that I can double-grab the handle for manual mode.

i also adjusted my garage door opener travel but it still made contact depending on our parking accuracy. i sliced a pool noodle lengthwise and slid it onto the lip that's on the back of the garage door. it's a black noodle, doesn't look bad on the door and can't be seen from outside the garage when the door is closed.

I piece of black foam pipe insulation cover from Home Depot, Lowe's or Menard's would work well too in case you can't find a pool noodle in the color black.

That insulation is a great idea!

Initially, I also thought that there would be a way to adjust the height but after reading through the section of the manual covering the opener for a couple of times, I figured out there isn't. On the other hand, setting the liftgate any lower would probably increase the risk of hitting my head on it...:D

Most of the time, I don't have that contact-issue but when I don't drive into the garage far enough, there is a slight contact. Not sure it would cause any damage but the insulation should work just fine.

You can buy a parking mat which is a pieces of rubber with two humps on it spaced about 8 inches apart. You drive over the first hump and your wheel stops between the two. This way your car will always be in the same spot in your garage. I paid about $15. for the last one I purchased at Walmart online.
