I contacted Customer Assistance by email and got a reply today. This is a quote from their response: "I have verified with our Uconnect Care department regarding your Uconnect Access question that you will not lose the 911 feature if you
do not continue to subscribe to the Uconnect Access."
So, from this, I guess the Air Card stays active, and 911 calls will be put through. Just wondering if anyone with an expired Access account has tried using it?
Sounds like OnStar, in that the vehicle is still linked to the system, and can be tracked and monitored even though the subscription has expired.

it doesn't surprise me that they intend to keep the aircard active even without a paid subscription. The real value is in all the data (the car diagnostics for service and warranty, remote updates, probably even your driving habits unfortunately) that they can get from the system...

I'm not a paranoid type but that aircard sure does offer a lot of real time data to both those with good intentions as well as those without.

I am in the same boat but with our little chevy spark, had 6 months free on star, got the renewal, $46 a month (in Canada), called them to discuss and there wwas a cheaper option ($25 pm) but as noted, these services have a value proposition to fulfill, for me, this type of service is $200 a year tops.

I encouraged them to continue sending me offers as I eventually bit on xm.

My trial subscription ran out last month and now every time I start the vehicle the screen displays "No active subscription" and the only two options are to go to the UConnect site to purchase or to Cancel - no option to "Don't show this message again."
I have 29 more months on my lease and I do NOT want to touch "Cancel" before I can see the radio or phone screens - there must be a way other than paying $ 20 a month for something I never used during the trial.
