Re: '14 - UConnect Access Trial Expiration and Renewal Cost

I just want more of you to not renew because you don't think what they're charging for the service is worth it so they'll lower my monthly rate even more!

I just cant imagine may people are going to renew until they start offering more services. But like you said the more people that don't renew the more they will probably rethink their prices.

Re: '14 - UConnect Access Trial Expiration and Renewal Cost

Seem they are starting to discount the Uconnect Advantage Package service but they need to drop a lot lower or add something that I don't want to do without.

Advantage Package for just $14.99/month for 12 months. This limited-time offer gives you another chance to enjoy the convenience of voice-activated Yelp, one-touch Assist Calls, stolen vehicle assistance and more. Renew today and rediscover all the advantages of Uconnect Access!

Re: '14 - UConnect Access Trial Expiration and Renewal Cost

i allowed the subscription to lapse. I got the e-mail with the reduced price offer and I do not think it is worth more than 5$/month so as such, I am not subscribing

Re: '14 - UConnect Access Trial Expiration and Renewal Cost

My subscription dropped to $14.99/month ($17.96 including taxes) effective first of this month, but my card was charged the full $19.99, $23.76 with taxes. I called UConnect this morning; advisor I talked to had to get help because he didn't understand "this billing stuff". They finally agreed to issue a credit of $5.80 to my card. When I asked if this would be straight going forward and my card would be billed the correct $17.96, he said "I certainly hope so - if not, call back and we'll give you another credit".

So - those of you still subscribed to UConnect, check your credit card statement and verify you're actually being billed the lower rate.

Sounds a lot like the circle jerk you get when dealing with the wonderful Sat Radio customer service reps.

I should clarify that my other car has the old XM radio. That for whatever reason is considered a separate account and can't be combined with my SiriusXM account on the Jeep. The same with not being able to transfer subscriptions between the two.

Called SiriusXM three times within a period of an hour and talked to three different people... India, Phillipines and an American in the Phillipines training the local operators. These are the quotes I received on the music only, All Access package in order of my calls...

$277.88
$230.66
$208.49

LMAO...

There business model is such a circle jerk I couldn't possibly do business with them at any price.

Re: '14 - UConnect Access Trial Expiration and Renewal Cost

My Uconnect Access free trial expired in May. Yesterday I began getting an alert message on the touch screen display. The message said a subscription was required to access Uconnect, and there were two buttons: go to Uconnect Store, or Cancel. This alert popped up every time I started my vehicle and drove a short distance and completely blocked whatever was then displayed on the screen, such as Navigation. Since I have no intention of paying the $14.99/month to continue Uconnect access, I called Uconnect to ask how to make the alerts stop. They offered to delete my account, which would take care of the problem. This morning on my short drive to work my touch screen came up with the message Uconnect account removed: System will restart shortly. After a short period, my head unit restarted and all appears to be normal. I got no more alerts about needing to renew my subscription.

That's interesting. I went through the exact same thing for my SiriusXM service starting about 2-3 weeks before the free trial expired. Also around the same time I started receiving the additional message, "XM Service loading... please wait."

I did renew my SiriusXM subscription. However, the XM service loading message still pops up at least once whenever I'm driving my Jeep. That really pisses me off.

I never received any messages about my UConnect. Like most people here, I wouldn't pay a nickel to renew that.

I agree with all the above.
U-Connect is not worth the $'s.
