I've been reading others' build threads and thought I'd post mine and my plans. I just (last week) bought a 2015 Ecodiesel overland ORAII. I bought it to tow my '11 KK that I use for rock bashing and to be a nice family vacation/overland vehicle.
I have a Colorado trip in the end of July (I plan on camping and taking many mountain passes) a trip to Disney in Cali this fall (I'll be stopping in Sedona and Joshua tree) and have a plan for an epic overland trip to the Arctic Ocean in 2020. I plan to have my build mostly completed by 2020.

The current order of my build (major components) and timefrane is as follows:
1. Uneek 4x4 sliders (already have them, should be installed this monday)
2. Shield DEF injector and harness skid
3. GDE hot tune
(By July '17 Colorado trip)
4. Chief 4x4 transmission, sump and front lower guard (not shipping until Jul 30, so no go for colorado)
5. Gobi stealth rack (with rear ladder and lock box)
6. 255/70R18 Duratracs
(Before California trip)
7. ARB (or similar awning)
8. ARB front bull bar with fog lights and winch (all installed at once) [will sell chief lower front guard after purchase]
(By summer/fall 2018)
9. Uneek rear bumper with dual swingouts
10. Hutchison snorkel
11. Bushwacker flares (these last two are mostly cosmetic.
13-14. I will probably add the GDE transmission tune, RTT, a front locker, and/or an auxiliary tank when/if they become available or I feel I need it.

I've attached a pic of my wk2 as it is now, and a pic of my toy/rock bouncer the Liberator.

Over the past 2 weeks installed the SHIELD DEF injector and harness skid and GDE hot tune. I can verify it fits with Uneek 4x4 sliders with no additional mods needed.

Next mod is the Chief 4x4 lower front guard (ACC armor), heavey duty sump plate, and transpission skid. This will be ordered and shipped mid August (hopefully).
I'll be heading to Colorado to do some mild moutain passes this week.

Ok just returned from Colorado a few days ago. My priorities of the mods have changed. I cracked my rear bumper.
I bent one of the ACC sensor pins and broke 2 plastic retaining clips. I was able to fix it cheaply. But that close call has pushed up the bumper buy to later this or next month. On the highway back a piece of tire tread (on the road) ripped off my front passenger side fender. So bushwacker flares are on order now. But had fun. Did Medano pass (got a nice pinstripe), Hayden Pass, Peak 9 (outside of Breckenridge), Hancock pass (a rockslide stopped us from finishing Tomichi pass) and Black Bear Pass.

I do too. Lol. I had to drive. I was there for a class, but took it as an opportunity to have some fun since I was away from home

Installed bushwacker flares (due to the previously posted fender damage) and switched to Rubicon take off wheels and tires. 255/75R17. I have the HD brakes and they require a 1.5" spacer to clear up front, and it's still close. The rear doesn't need a spacer. They rub the felt liner in the backof the front well over the pinch weld in NRH and Park mode when turning at full lock, but it doesn't seem to actually contact the pinch weld itself. The BFG MTs are very loud, so I will likely switch them out to the same size Duratrac over labor day weekend with Discount Tire's sales.
My ARB should be installed this Saturday. Unfortunately the winch will have to wait. After that the Chief sump plate and transmission skid in September.
Got to be prepared for Joshua tree and Sedona this October!

Got the ARB "bull bar" installed. Unfortunately the compressor skid rubbs the 32" tire at full lock in Aero and park modes. Nothing a little filing down shouldn't be able to fix though. I hope to have the Chief sump plate skid installed soon as well.

I actually got a lot done over the past month or so. Switched to Duratracs. Added a Gobi I got for $600 and added the chief sump skid. I grinded my ARB down so theres no more rubbing at any wheel turn angle when in park mode. My Mpg is now around 19 city, 23-24 at around 60-65 mph and around 20-21 at 70-80 mph. So I took a big hit on the highway. I was getting around 26-27 at 80 mph and 28-29 at around 65 mph before I added all this stuff.

I'm impressed that your highway is still 23-24, that's a lot of weight you added. Looking good!

Loving your build man, and definitely following. I have a 2018 JGC Sterling Edition 5.7L on order (no diesel offered :( , which will not stay stock for long. I was already looking at many of the items on your build list and it is awesome to see them coming together.
By the way, on my current vehicle my highway mileage went to shit after I installed an all steel offroad bumper, but I still feel like the advantages outweigh the loss in mpg: 1. I have had a big delivery truck accidentally back into me in the parking lot, and it caused zero damage to vehicle despite the fact that it would have completely destroyed the stock front bumper. 2. As an avid skier I spend a lot of time looking for parking spaces at ski resorts. Having a front bumper allowed me to just make my own space by driving into snow banks and not worrying about any potential damage. 3. Whenever I am not sure about how much space I have in front of my vehicle, I just drive forward until I hit something 4. etc etc
